The 112 Emergency Response Support System (ERSS) has been established at the State Police Headquarters to ensure timely assistance for individuals seeking help during emergency situations. This system operates 24 hours a day, providing prompt support to those in need.
However, irresponsible behaviour by the public is undermining the core purpose of this critical service. A large number of unnecessary and inappropriate calls are received on the 112 helpline every day.
