Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 23 -- Kerala Police is setting a new benchmark in people-centric policing, winning praise not just for enforcing law and order but also for transforming the lives of thousands of young people through its pioneering social initiatives - the HOPE (Helping Others to Promote Education) project and the Student Police Cadet (SPC) scheme.

Introduced in 2017, Project HOPE has brought back 4,364 school dropouts and examination-failed students into classrooms by offering free academic support, counselling and motivational training.
