Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 1 -- Kerala Opposition leader V D Satheesan today slammed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's claim that the state has eradicated extreme poverty, calling it a "fabricated narrative" and a "pre-election PR stunt to mislead the public."The Congress-led UDF boycotted Assembly proceedings, with Satheesan alleging that the LDF government convened the session "solely for a publicity exercise" at enormous public expense.
"The government has turned the Assembly into a farce. The CM is repeating the same statements already splashed across the media through costly advertisements. MLAs were brought to the capital just to hear a rehearsed declaration," Satheesan said.
