Thiruvananthapuram, Dec. 31 -- Amid the ongoing controversy over the operation of electric buses in the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation area, Kerala Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar on Wednesday said the 113 e-buses currently in service could be returned within 24 hours if the City Corporation makes a formal request.
The minister clarified that the electric buses are not owned by the Thiruvananthapuram Corporation, but are operated by the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), with the state government holding a majority share in the project.
