Kozhikode, Dec. 11 -- At the end of the second phase of local body elections held in seven districts of North Kerala, 75.38 per cent voter turnout was registered at the end of polling at 06.00 PM on Thursday.
Wayanad district topped with 77.34 per cent, followed by Malappuram district with 76.85 per cent, while Kozhikode came in third spot with 76.47 per cent, Kannur 75.73 per cent , Palakkad 75.6 per cent, Kasaragod 74.03 per cent and Thrissur 71.88 percent.
In Kannur district, 1,574,941 votes were polled out of the total 2,092,003 eligible votes. Kannur Municipal Corporation recorded 68.36 per cent turnout while municipal councils of Taliparamba (75.51), Koothuparamba (78.32) , Payyanur (78.96), Thalassery (71.59), Sreekandapuram (73.96...
