Kochi, Dec. 5 -- The Kerala High Court today directed the prosecution to furnish its position on the regular bail applications filed by R. Murari Babu, the second accused in the alleged gold theft at Sabarimala Temple, and posted the matter for further hearing on December 11.

Murari Babu, who earlier served as an Administrative Officer with the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), was suspended from his later post as Deputy Devaswom Commissioner following the registration of two crime-branch cases.

He is accused of playing a role in the disappearance of gold from the gold-clad dwarapalaka idols and from the ornate frames bordering the sanctum sanctorum.
