Kochi, Feb. 19 -- Delivering a strong message on accountability, the Kerala High Court has ordered a sweeping overhaul of the prasadam sales system at the Sabarimala Temple, sharply criticising the Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB) over serious alleged financial irregularities in the sale of "Adiya Sishtam Ghee".

The directive was issued by a Division Bench, comprising Justices Raja Vijayaraghavan V and K.V. Jayakumar, in suo motu proceedings initiated after the Sabarimala Special Commissioner flagged suspected embezzlement at the ghee counter at Sannidhanam during the Mandala-Makaravilakku season.
