Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 7 -- The Kerala Government has ordered the dismissal of 51 doctors under the Department of Medical Education who had been absent from duty without authorisation.
Despite being given several opportunities, these employees showed no interest in rejoining service, and such prolonged absence has affected the functioning of the department, said Health Minister Veena George.
"The department had been given strict instructions to identify employees who were absent from duty without authorisation, submit a report, and take stringent disciplinary action. This action follows those directives," she said.
