Kannur, Jan. 30 -- Kerala Forest Minister A K Saseedharan on Thursday confirmed the presence of a leopard at Chathirur in Aralam farm, the State's lone rehabilitation farm.
Addressing a press conference at the District Collector's chamber after a review meeting here, the Minister said "The wild animal is a leopard, not a tiger.''
He said the presence of a leopard was confirmed following the visuals captured from Chathirur on six cameras installed by the Forest Department. He said '' measures have already been taken to tranquilize or cage the leopard by Forest personnel very soon.
