Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 2 -- With the Onam festival around the corner, the Kerala Excise Department has chalked out a comprehensive action plan to intensify enforcement activities across the state.
The special drive, aimed at ensuring a safe and law-abiding festive season, will focus on curbing the smuggling of spirit, the production and sale of illicit liquor, and the trafficking, sale, and manufacture of narcotic drugs.
The department will conduct round-the-clock surveillance from August 4 to September 10, covering key checkpoints, border areas, and licensed establishments.
