Kannur, Oct. 1 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will inaugurate the Rs 20. 68 crore cost renovated works at Kannur Cooperative Spinning mill at Chovva tomorrow.
Addressing a press conference, Chairman of the Mill, Prakash said that the Spinning Mill has been renovated under the second phase of development project by importing modern machineries from Japan and Italy to produce more products from this unit.
All machinery over 40 years old has been replaced. The second phase of renovation launched in 2019 at a cost of Rs 20.68 crore and the work was completed in August.
Fully automated equipment imported from Japan and Italy has increased the mill production capacity from three tons to four tons of yarn per day.
