Kochi, Dec. 20 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Saturday visited the Ernakulam Town Hall to pay his last respects to veteran actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker Sreenivasan, whose passing has plunged the Malayalam film fraternity and audiences across the state into deep mourning.

Paying tribute, the Chief Minister described Sreenivasan as a "multifaceted talent whose work brought both laughter and profound reflection to audiences," and termed his demise a "deep sorrow for the cultural fabric of Kerala."He said Sreenivasan's contributions had left an indelible imprint on Malayalam cinema and society at large.
