Thiruvananthapuram, March 26 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday congratulated Baselios Joseph Mar Gregorios who has been ordained as Catholicos of
Jacobite Syrian Orthodox Church.
"Heartfelt congratulations to His Beatitude Baselios Joseph I on being ordained as the Catholicos
of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church in India. Wish him success in his new role and hope his leadership strengthens the community's efforts for progress and harmony," the CM said in a
message on Wednesday.
The installation ceremony of Joseph Mar Gregorios was held on Tuesday at St Mary's Patriarchal Cathedral, located within the Patriarchal Center in Atchaneh, about 20 kms from Beirut, the capital
