Thiruvananthapuram, Oct. 30 -- BJP Kerala State President Rajeev Chandrasekhar has filed a Rs 100 crore defamation suit against Reporter TV for allegedly broadcasting a series of "fabricated and defamatory news reports" linking him to a land deal of BPL Limited, a company with which he states he has no association.
The legal notice, issued through Mumbai-based law firm RHP Partners, names nine individuals including Reporter TV owner Anto Augustine, Consulting Editor Arun Kumar, Coordinating Editor Smrithi Paruthikkad Sujaya Parvathy, News Coordinator Jimmy James, and Thiruvananthapuram Bureau Chief T.V. Prasad.
