Kasaragod, Aug. 19 -- As the Kannada language continues to grow, the need for a Kannada-Malayalam dictionary has become even more relevant, since all the languages share a common essence and Malayalam, Tulu, and Kannada are closely interlinked, said Karnataka Tulu Academy president Taranath Gatti Kappikkad.

The comprehensive Kannada-Malayalam dictionary, compiled by BT Jayaram, a retired government employee residing at Uduma, Arattukadavu, through the translation of all Kannada words into Malayalam, was published by the Kerala Bhasha institute and released at the Pulikkunnu municipal conference hall in Kasaragod, on the last day.
