Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 21 -- The Kerala Legislative Assembly on Wednesday paid rich tributes to CPI(M) leader and Koyilandy MLA Kanathil Jameela, who passed away recently after battling cancer.
The House began the day's proceedings with an obituary reference, remembering her contributions to public life and legislative work.
Speaker A.N. Shamseer recalled Jameela as a committed and compassionate legislator who consistently raised issues concerning women, the underprivileged and local development.
