Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 22 -- Kerala has recorded a 14 per cent increase in milk production and currently produces 25.27 lakh metric tonnes annually, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Dairy Development J. Chinchurani has said, announcing that the State will achieve self-sufficiency in milk production by 2031.

The Minister said that by 2031, the average productivity per cow will be enhanced by 12.5 per cent as part of a comprehensive plan to strengthen the dairy sector.
