Kasaragod, Sept. 17 -- The Public Education Department has suspended Bekal sub-district Assistant Education Officer (AEO) VK Sainudheen (52), a resident of Padanna, after he was booked under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act for allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old boy from Chandera.
The suspension, issued under the Kerala Civil Service Rules, follows a case registered by Neeleshwaram police. Sainudheen was arrested and produced before the Hosdurg Judicial First Class Magistrate (JFCM), which remanded him in 14 days of judicial custody.
