Pathanamthitta (Kerala), Oct. 13 -- In a landmark achievement for Kerala's healthcare system, the State has recorded its lowest-ever infant mortality rate, reaffirming its leadership in public health even as it launched an intensive Pulse Polio Immunization Campaign aimed at safeguarding every child from preventable diseases.

The massive immunization drive will cover 21,11,010 children across Kerala through 22,383 vaccination booths, including mobile and transit centers to reach every corner of the State.

Over 44,766 trained volunteers have been deployed to manage the booths, assist families, and ensure smooth and efficient vaccination services.
