Malappuram, Nov. 26 -- A 24-year-old youth was hacked to death in an alleged attack by his elder brother, after being woken from sleep at their house in Pookkottur near Manjeri, in the early hours on Tuesday.
According to police, the deceased was identified as Ameer (24), son of K Abbas residing at Pallimukku near Pookkottur. Manjeri Police have arrested Junaid (26), the victim's elder brother in connection with the incident. Police suspect that the attack stemmed from a financial dispute between the siblings.
The incident occurred around 0430 AM. Junaid, who lived in the same house, allegedly entered Ameer's bedroom, woke him from sleep, and attacked him on the neck with a sharp weapon. Ameer died on the spot and their mother and sister ...
