Kannur (Kerala), March 20 -- A suspected rabid dog attacked and injured as many as 30 people, including women and children at Iriveri and other places here on Thursday.

District Medical Officer (DMO) Dr Piyush Namboodhiri led health officials visited the district hospital, where most of them sought medical treatment in the morning. DMO said rabies medicine was administered to all the victims and ensured all the medical treatment to the injured 30 people .

He also said two of the victims, who have allergies for rabies injection have been referred to Kannur Medical College hospital at Pariyaram.
