Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 10 -- Kerala BJP President Rajeev Chandrasekhar today accused the Left Democratic Front (LDF) government and the Special Investigation Team (SIT) of shielding the real culprits in the alleged misappropriation of gold from the Sabarimala Lord Ayyappa temple, saying the anger among Ayyappa devotees was steadily mounting and was "fully justified".
In a strongly worded statement, Chandrasekhar said the responsibility for protecting the sanctity and assets of the Sabarimala temple rested with the Devaswom Minister and the Travancore Devaswom Board, and not with the Tantri alone.
