Kannur, Sept. 24 -- The Kannur Municipal Corporation in Kerala has launched the country's first-ever "Water Budget", a pioneering initiative that aims to assess surplus or shortage of water availability as also monitor its usage across the Corporation's 55 wards.
The document was officially released today by Kannur Corporation Mayor Muslih Madathil, who handed it over to Haritha Kerala Mission District Coordinator E K Somasekharan, in a function held at the Dussehra venue at the Collectorate ground.
