Malappuram, Feb. 26 -- The District Anti-narcotic Special Action Force (DANSAF) team on Wednesday seized 544 grams of Methylenedioxy Methamphetamine (MDMA) narcotic drugs and 875 grams of ganja, valued around Rs 20 lakhs, from a drug peddler at Muthuvallur near Kondotty on Wednesday.
According to police, they arrested Akash (22) of Muthuvallur in a raid conducted by a DANSAF team led by District Police Chief P Viswanathan , following a tip-off.
The synthetic drugs were brought from Bangalore and kept in small packets for retail sale through social media's various applications in Malappuram and Kozhikode districts.
Further investigation was going on, police sources said.
