Thiruvananthapuram, Feb. 17 -- Congress Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala today strongly criticized the clarification issued by the CEO of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) in response to his recent allegations of government spending and financial irregularities linked to election campaigning.

He described the CEO's statement as a deliberate attempt to deflect attention from the substantive issues raised and to mislead the public.

Rejecting KIIFB's claim that advertising expenditure significantly impacts its financial ratings, Chennithala termed the argument misleading and inconsistent with established financial norms.
