Thiruvananthapuram, Aug. 24 -- With milk demand set to peak during the Onam season, the Kerala Government has ordered intensified inspections to curb the inflow of adulterated milk from outside the state.

The special drive, to be jointly carried out by the Dairy Development Department and the Food Safety Department, will be held from August 31 to September 4.

Round-the-clock checks will be conducted at three major entry points along the state borders - Meenakshipuram check-post in Palakkad, Aryankavu check-post in Kollam, and Parassala check-post in Thiruvananthapuram.
