Thiruvananthapuram, May 29 -- Senior Congress leader and AICC Working Committee member Ramesh Chennithala led a campaign "Walk Against Drugs" here on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion, Chennithala said the huge participation of the people in the campaign is a testimony of how the society has taken up the issue of drugs in a big way.
"We will continue our campaign against drugs in the coming days in all over Kerala. People from all walks of life, irrespective of party lines, participated in the event."
Kerala is slowly moving to a situation requiring a 'Health Emergency' due to the rising number of health issues related to drug use, the former Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly felt. UNI DS SSP
