Thiruvananthapuram, July 2 -- Former Kerala captain and BCCI Level Two coach Sony Cheruvathur has been appointed as the new head coach of Alleppey Ripples ahead of the second season of the Kerala Cricket League.

Sony Cheruvathur, an experienced player, coach, and cricket analyst, has also led Kerala in three Ranji Trophy tournaments. His achievements as a player are many, including the feats such as the fastest Kerala bowler to take 100 wickets in the Ranji Trophy and one of only two Kerala bowlers to take a hat-trick in the Ranji Trophy.
