New Delhi, Dec. 23 -- Congress leader KC Venugopal Tuesday strongly condemned the BJP's alleged treatment of Christians in India, accusing the party of spreading hatred and intolerance.

"This is the true face of BJP's rabid hatred towards Christianity," Venugopal said in a statement. "Their leaders will go to any lengths to insult minorities in India, even if that means attacking a blind lady."A BJP district vice president in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh, reportedly identified as Anju Bhargava, allegedly mistreated and targeted a visually impaired Christian woman during an incident at a local church on December 22.
