Hyderabad, April 10 -- Telangana Jagruthi President Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Friday alleged large-scale corruption in the GHMC and HMDA, accusing the Congress government led by Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of awarding contracts worth over Rs 1,100 crore through the nomination method without tenders.
Addressing a press conference in her office, Banjara Hills in Hyderabad, she claimed that the practice violates financial norms, which mandate tenders for works exceeding Rs 5 lakh, and demanded immediate cancellation of such contracts.
She insisted that all works be executed strictly through a transparent tendering process.
