Hyderabad, May 12 -- BRS MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday launched a scathing attack on the Congress-led Telangana government, alleging that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is planning to mortgage 1.75 lakh acres of land under the Telangana Government Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) to raise massive loans.
Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan, Kavitha claimed that the government had secretly issued a GO to convert TGIIC from a private limited company into a public limited entity to facilitate borrowing of thousands of crores by floating Telangana lands on the stock exchange. She questioned the secrecy behind this move and warned of the potential risks if the stock exchange suffered losses.
