Srinagar, April 17 -- Amid forecast of intermittent spells of light rain and thundershowers at many places till Sunday, Kashmir witnessed light rainfall over the past 24 hours, the Meteorological Department said on Friday.
The MeT data showed that the summer capital Srinagar recorded 2.6 mm of rainfall during the period. Among other areas, Qazigund in south Kashmir received 4.4 mm, Kupwara in north Kashmir 6 mm, while the ski resort of Gulmarg recorded 7 mm, making it one of the wetter places in the Valley.
The tourist resort of Pahalgam in south Kashmir received 5.4 mm of rainfall.
