Srinagar, Sept. 4 -- Business community in Kashmir today welcomed the GST Council's announcement of key reforms, including rationalisation of tax rates.

Joint secretary Kashmir Chamber of Commerce & Industry (KCC&I) Umar Nazir TibetBaqal said "Next generation GST Reform" is a major step forward for the revival of the economy and would help revival of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME).

"With regards to Jammu and Kashmir we expect that it will have a positive impact on our tourism, on our handicrafts, shawls, carpets, jewellery, paper machine and other products.
