Srinagar, Oct. 8 -- Continuing its crackdown on banned organisations, Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted targeted searches at multiple locations in Sopore, Handwara, Budgam and Anantnag districts of Jammu and KashmirIn Sopore, Police said that it raided the residence of Syed Yousuf Shah of Hygam in connection with an 2025 FIR under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), recovering literature and photographs linked to the banned Jammu & Kashmir Itihad-ul-Muslimeen (JKIM).
Police said the search was carried out after obtaining proper legal authorization from the competent court of law.
