Chennai, Oct. 15 -- After disrupting the Assembly proceedings and staging a walk outover the Karur stampede, AIADMK General Secretary and Leader of the Opposition EdappadiK. Palaniswami (EPS) today held the DMK government squarely responsible for the lossof 41 innocent lives at the political rally of actor and TVK Founder Vijay and alleged thatgross negligence and lack of proper security led to the horrific incident.
Speaking to the media at the State Secretariat, after leading a walkout from the Tamil NaduLegislative Assembly, Mr. Palaniswami said the AIADMK had raised the Karur issue underRule 56, but Chief Minister M K Stalin failed to provide a clear or satisfactory explanation.
