Chennai, March 10 -- Complying with the summons issued by the CBI probing the Karur stampede tragedy that claimed 41 lives during a political rally addressed by TVK Founder and actor-politician Vijay, former Tamil Nadu Minister and Karur MLA V Senthilbalaji will appear before the Central investiating agency on March 17 for questioning.
Reports said Mr Senthilbalaji himself has confirmed that he would appear before the agency on March 17.
The CBI, which took over the probe in October 2025 following a Supreme Court directive, is examining crowd control arrangements, rally permissions, coordination between organisers and authorities, and other related evidences.
