Gundlupet (Karnataka), Sept. 10 -- In a dramatic protest against delayed government action, villagers of Bommalapura, located around 15km from Gundlupet town in Karnataka, confined 10 forest officials inside a tiger-trapping cage yesterday evening.

The protest came amid growing frustration over repeated tiger sightings in the area and mounting livestock losses.

Eyewitnesses said panic gripped the village when a tiger was spotted prowling near homes and agricultural fields. The villagers immediately contacted the forest department, which dispatched a team equipped with a cage to capture the animal.
