Bengaluru, Oct. 24 -- The Karnataka Transport Department has rushed a two-member team to Kurnool in Andhra Pradesh to investigate the horrific bus fire that claimed 19 lives early today.

Transport Minister Ramalinga Reddy, visibly shaken by the news, ordered officials to coordinate with local authorities and provide every possible support to victims from Karnataka.

"At this stage, we do not know if any Bengaluru residents were on board. The full picture will emerge once our team reaches Kurnool," a transport official said.
