Chennai, Aug. 7 -- With the Indian space agency headquartered in Bengaluru and several private space start-ups also located in the Garden City, the Karnataka government has decided to set up a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Space Technology, in collaboration with The SatCom Industry Association (SIA-India).

The CoE has been allocated an initial funding of Rs.10 crore over five-years and will operate in partnership with leading stakeholders including Ananth Technologies Ltd., International Institute of Space Studies and Research (IISSR), KickSky, and BES Space, SIA-India said today.
