Bengaluru, Feb. 4 -- Karnataka's rising star, Dhinidhi Desinghu, etched her name in the history books by setting a new national record in the women's 400m freestyle event at the National Games 2025 in Uttarakhand on Monday.

The 14-year-old, who represented India at the Paris Olympics, clocked an impressive 4:24.60 at the Manaskhand Tarantal in Golapur, breaking the previous national record of 4:24.70 held by Hashika Ramachandra from last year's senior nationals. Dhinidhi also shattered the meet record of 4:27.93, previously held by Delhi's Bhavya Sachdeva.
