Karnataka reports four Covid-related deaths since Jan 1
Bengaluru, May 31 -- Karnataka on Saturday reported 13 new hospitalisations related to COVID-19, while one death was recorded in the last 24 hours, as per the daily bulletin issued by the Department of Health & Family Welfare.
Since January 1, the state has reported a total of four COVID-19-related fatalities.
A total of 354 RT-PCR tests and 66 Rapid Antigen Tests (RAT) were conducted on Saturday. The positivity rate stood at 13.8 per cent, indicating a mild but notable rise in infection levels. Among the 13 newly hospitalised patients, six were admitted to government health facilities and seven to private hospitals.
No patients currently require oxygen support or intensive care, and all ICU beds with ventilators remain unoccupied. A number...
