Karnataka LoP points to Cong-appointed BLAs in voter list row
Bengaluru, Aug. 8 -- The BJP in Karnataka today countered allegations of election fraud raised by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, with Karnataka assembly LoP R Ashoka emphasisng the key role played by Congress-appointed Booth Level Agents (BLAs) in managing voter lists during elections.
Addressing a press conference, Ashoka explained that the first copies of the voter lists in the recent Lok Sabha elections were handed over to BLAs appointed by the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) under its President DK Shivakumar. These BLAs were responsible for verifying the voter lists, including removing the names of deceased voters and adding new eligible voters.
