Karnataka leaders express grief over Air India crash
Bengaluru, June 12 -- A wave of shock and sorrow swept across Karnataka's political spectrum on Wednesday following the tragic crash of Air India flight AI-171 in Ahmedabad, which was en route to London with over 200 passengers on board.
Former Prime Minister and Janata Dal (Secular) patriarch H D Deve Gowda expressed deep anguish, calling it "a terrible tragedy." In a statement, he said, "Deeply shocked and saddened. My thoughts and prayers are with families of those who were in the Air India flight. May God help us."
