Bengaluru, April 21 -- Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara on Tuesday said the government "needs to know the reason" behind the Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids conducted on premises linked to MLA NA Haris' sons in connection with an alleged cybercrime and money laundering case.
Parameshwara said clarity was required on the basis for the searches, adding that the circumstances behind the action must be properly explained. "The ED raided the house of MLA NA Haris' sons. We need to know the reason for the raid," he said.
He also noted that an SIT had already been constituted in connection with the broader Bitcoin-related case, while pointing out that its report was yet to be submitted.
