Hubballi, March 5 -- Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Thursday alleged that the Congress government in the state was facing a severe financial crisis as it was unable to mobilise resources to fulfil its poll promises, particularly the five guarantee schemes.

Targeting the government led by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Vijayendra said the repeated increase in prices of fuel, essential commodities and electricity showed the government's financial strain.

"The Congress government headed by CM Siddaramaiah is unable to raise the resources to fulfil its promises, that is, the five guarantees.
