Bengaluru, Oct. 24 -- The Karnataka High Court today directed state authorities to hold a peace-committee meeting with the organisers of the proposed Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) route march in Chittapur town on October 28.

The decision came after authorities reported tensions in Chittapur due to contrasting statements by various organisations regarding the march.

The court, while hearing a petition by RSS Kalaburagi convenor Ashok Patil seeking permission for a peaceful march on November 2, noted that the authorities would meet the organisers to ensure law and order and resolve the issue.
