Bengaluru, Sept. 1 -- The Karnataka High Court today dismissed a petition by residents of Chikkajala village seeking a direction to the Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) to ensure construction of a metro station in their locality under Phase 2B of the Blue Line, which will connect Krishnarajapuram with Kempegowda International Airport.
A division bench comprising Chief Justice Vibhu Bakhru and Justice C M Joshi observed that questions relating to the alignment of the metro line, location of stations, and the number of stops fall solely within the purview of the competent authorities and are not subject to judicial review under Article 226 of the Constitution.
