Bengaluru, Nov. 18 -- The Karnataka High Court today quashed the externment order that had barred activist Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi from staying in Dakshina Kannada district for a year, directing the authorities to reconsider the matter afresh.
The order was originally passed on September 18 by Puttur Assistant Commissioner Stella Varghese.
Justice Suraj Govindaraj, while partially allowing Thimarodi's petition, noted that the externment order suffered from procedural lapses and lacked adequate reasoning.
