Bengaluru, May 29 -- The Karnataka High Court on Thursday delivered a scathing verdict against the Congress-led State Government, declaring its controversial order to withdraw 43 criminal prosecutions as non est, legally void from the very beginning.
The ruling was delivered by a Division Bench comprising Chief Justice NV Anjaria and Justice KV Aravind. "The Government Order is set aside. It is declared that the order shall be treated as non est. The legal consequences of this will follow," the Bench said in the operative part of its judgment.
