Bengaluru, Oct. 4 -- The Karnataka High Court has quashed a criminal case against BJP MP Dr K Sudhakar, who was booked for allegedly seeking the help of an IAS officer after the Election Commission's flying squad seized Rs 4.8 crore in cash from a co-accused's residence a day before the April 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

Justice MI Arun allowed the petition, noting that the allegations in the FIR, complaint, and chargesheet did not indicate that the seized money was intended for Dr Sudhakar's election campaign or for bribing voters.
